Washington-Edna Rose Bushong, 99, of Washington, IL and formerly of Dunfermline and Bellevue, passed away at her residence at 7:45 am on Friday, December 16, 2016.
She was born on June 8, 1917 in Dripping Springs, KY a daughter of Andrew and Cordelia Jones Baker. She married Osmon "Bud" Bushong on November10, 1933 in Crawfordsville, IN. He passed away in October 1994.
Surviving are one daughter, Janice Beebe of Washington, IL her caregiver and best friend; one son, Jerry(Laura) Bushong of Dunfermline, IL; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Jim and Osmon Bushong, Jr. and three grandchildren
Edna worked for the Bellevue Water Department for 22 years retiring in 1971 and was a loving homemaker. She loved to square dance and enjoyed all other kinds of dancing as well. She liked to travel and enjoyed her family time. She also enjoyed doing crosswords and embroidery. She was dearly loved by her family and will be missed by all that knew Edna.
Funeral Services will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka. Pastor Rita Blanch will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Wednesday.Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, IL.
