Everett Myers

Everett A. Myers, 79, of Eureka, passed away at 1:32 a.m., Monday, December 27, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born August 2, 1942 in Eureka the son of Art and Helen (Azbill) Myers.  He married Carol Burrell Kettwich on February 11, 1978 in Eureka.  She survives.

Also surviving are two sons Dan (Stephanie) Myers of Little Rock, AR and their son Zach, Chad Myers of Creve Coeur, IL; one sister, Sharon Meyers of Eureka; one step-daughter Brenda Wacker of Eureka; one step-son Kenny Kettwich of Las Vegas, NV; four step-granddaughters; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Dan Myers.

Everett was a U.S. Navy Veteran.  He worked at Caterpillar for 35 years before he retired.  He loved working in his yard to make it look nice.  He planted lots of flowers.  He was also always washing and waxing his car.  He will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2021 at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Olio Township Cemetery.
