George P. Irick, Jr., 68, of Congerville, IL passed away in Indiana.
He was born on April 30, 1949 in Berwyn, IL a son of George P. and Jacqueline Jenkins Irick. He married Susan E. Walton on February 12, 1972 in Winfield, IL. She survives.
Survivors also include two sisters, Cynthia(Rob) Skidmore of Lombard, IL; Judith(Dale) Hammersmith of West Chicago, IL; many nieces and nephews; his horses Bill and Yellow.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jacque Irick.
George worked at State Farm in Bloomington as an IT Analyst for 14 years.
He was a life member of the NRA, Single Action Shooting Society(SASS), a member of the AOPA and was a Shriner. He also was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Winfield, IL. George was a 4-H air pistol instructor and hunting and outdoor skills instructor. He was the founding member of the Midwest Rangers Mounted Shooting Club.
Memorial services will be held at 2p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka. Jeff Grimm will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodford County 4-H Foundation Shooting sports or Charity of the Donor's Choice. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.argoruestmanharris.com.
