Kevin Collins

Kevin R. Collins, 59, of Washington, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, IL.

He was born January 17, 1961 in Hinsdale, IL to Leonard R. and Jacquita (Wagner) Collins. He married Vicki Wilson on May 10, 1997 in Eureka, IL. She survives.

Also surviving is his mother Jacquita Collins of Eureka; step-son Robert Kensinger of Washington; sister Kathleen Jack of Eureka and her son Paul Jack of Murfreesboro, TN; brother Ken (Betty) Collins of Rockvale, TN and his daughter Chelsey Collins also of Rockvale, TN.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father.

Kevin was a machinist for more than 25 years working for TRI C of Eureka and McBride and Schoff.

He was an avid Chicago White Sox, Bears, Blackhawks and Bulls fan. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was and loved to fish. Kevin was the founder of the Facebook page Eureka Oldtimers. He was a very compassionate and giving man. He would always put others before himself and enjoyed helping others who were in need. He had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed.

Cremation will be accorded. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home is assisting the family with final arrangements. Burial of his cremains will be in Olio Township Cemetery in Eureka, IL. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on November 6, 2020, at Liberty Bible Church in Eureka.
