Eureka - Larry W. Bauman, 77 of Eureka passed away at 1:51 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 at The Doctors Hospital of Sarasota, FL.
He was born on January 27, 1941 in Peoria to Louis and Norma Hodel Bauman. He married Elizabeth (Betty) Schlipf on March 1, 1964 in Roanoke. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Andy (Rita) Bauman of Goodfield, Ben (Marge) Bauman of Eureka, and Dan (Holly) Bauman of Goodfield; two daughters, Lisa (James) Knapp of Carlock, and Sarah (Jim) Schrock of El Paso; two sisters, Twyla (Raymond) Meyer of Rock Rapids, IA, and Elaine (Lawrence) Wagenbach of Princeville; one brother-in-law, George Meyer of Lester, IA; 30 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Charlyn Meyer; one daughter-in-law, Kris Bauman; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was a lifetime farmer in the Eureka area. He also owned and operated Bauman Excavating for many years.
He was a member of the Goodfield Apostolic Christian Church, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Goodfield Apostolic Christian Fellowship Hall and from
9:00 - 9:45 a.m. Saturday morning at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The most important things to Larry in his life were his faith and family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed.
