DEER CREEK- Robert G. Barker, 84, of Deer Creek, died at 5:20 PM on Thursday November 29, 2015 at Maple Lawn Care Center in Eureka.
He was born in Deer Creek on January 10, 1931, a son of the late Luke and Estella Reel Barker. He married Mary Hoeft in 1955. She preceded him in death in 2002.
He is survived by a nephew, Tom (Louise) Karr, of Congerville; and 6 step-children.
He was preceded in death 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Bob served in the Navy during the World War II era. He worked on autos as a mechanic his whole life.
Cremation will be accorded and private services will be at a later date.Tom and Louise would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Maple Lawn for all of their wonderful care and support for Bob.
