EUREKA- Naomi "Ruth" Cutler, 95, of Eureka, passed away at 12:00 am on Friday July 10, 2015, at Maple Lawn Care Center in Eureka.
Funeral service will be held at 12 PM on Monday July 13, 2015 at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka with Minister Doane Brubaker officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hr prior to services from 11 AM-12PM at the funeral home and burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Stanford, IL.
She was born in Stanford on February 6, 1920, a daughter of the late Alba and Mary Aynes Carmichael.
She married Earl Cutler in Stanford on February 3, 1939. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Surviving are her children, Mary Jean ( Don) Tabb, Danville, Joyce (Ray) Henderson, Des Moines, IA, Becky (Dick) Hartung, Nashville, IN, Denny (Cheryl) Cutler, Chillicothe, Peg (Dave) Atherton, Carlock; daughter-in-law, Debbie Cutler, Hollister, CA; 26 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Cutler; 3 brothers, Lyle, Dwight, and Robert Carmichael; and 2 sisters, Wanita Huffman, and Dorene Schmidgall.
Ruth attended The Eureka Nazarene Church. She loved sewing and had been a seamstress for years. She loved spending time with her family playing table games and doing puzzles. She also enjoyed canning, gardening and planting flowers. She was a kind soul who always enjoyed helping others.
