Anna Mae Peacock, 89, of Eureka, IL, died at 11:18 P.M. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at her home with family by her side.
She was born on November 22, 1924 in Farmington, Illinois to James and Delia (Collins) Nichol. She was married to Richard Peacock on July 4, 1953 in Pekin, IL. They enjoyed 61 wonderful years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband Richard L. Peacock, her children Deanna (David) Gleisner, of Lexington Park, Maryland, Richard A. (Patricia) Peacock of Winston Salem, North Carolina, Kim Stanfill of Lexington, Tennessee, and Susan (Doug) Magnuson of Eureka, Illinois. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, James and Delia Nichol and her sister Evelyn Starkey.
She made her home in Eureka, Illinois during the summer months and Mesa, Arizona in the winter.
Her family was most important to her but she also enjoyed dancing and traveling with her husband. She will be forever loved and dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Funeral service will be held will be held at 11 A.M., Monday, October 27, 2014 at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka, Illinois. Her son Richard A. Peacock will lead the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in the Olio Township Cemetery following the service.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
