Arlene Kiser
Eureka- Alta Arlene Kiser, 89, of Eureka, IL formerly of Warsaw, IL passed away at 12:15 am on Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka where she had been a resident.
She was born on April 18, 1925 in Quincy, IL a daughter of Luther and Hazel Miller Sauble. She married Dean Schaad Kiser on August 12, 1944 in Warsaw, IL. He passed away on March 22, 1982.
Surviving are three children, Robert Dean (Linda) Kiser of Gainesville, TX; Virginia Lynn (Don) Williams of Clayton, NC; Carol June Newtson of Eureka, IL; seven grandchildren, Dean Kiser, Jim (Courtney) Kiser, David (Mary Grace) Williams, Joseph (Allissa) Williams, Mark (Sara) Williams, Sarah Keim, Rachel (Richard) Reeb, and five great-grandchildren, Wade Kiser, Virginia Grace Williams, Elijah Williams, Hannah Williams, and Kayleigh Keim.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother William Sauble, one infant sister Charlotte, and one infant great-granddaughter, Molly Jean Kiser.
Arlene was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Warsaw, Rocky Run Ladies Aid, and the Warsaw Senior Citizens Club. She also served as an election judge for many years and was a 4-H leader in the past. She enjoyed sewing and quilting as her hobby.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Lamporte Funeral Home in Hamilton, IL. Her grandson, Rev. Mark Williams will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wythe Presbyterian Cemetery. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is assisting the family with their arrangements.
