Audrey Potts

Eureka-Audrey Pearl Potts, 100, passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Maple Lawn Health Center in Eureka.

She was born on July 17, 1915 in Readstown, Wisconsin a daughter of Clinton and Alta Chitwood Miller.

Surviving are her children, Jean Birkhead of Monmouth, IL; Kay Hodel of Eureka, IL; three grandchildren, Audrey(Steve) Rocke, Mark(Alissa) Hodel and Lisa Mettler; 10 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; one step sister, Betty Cox of Viroqua, WI; three step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Barbara Emerson, one granddaughter, Tara Beeney, one brother and two sisters.

Audrey worked as a secretary at Wabco in Peoria for 20 years before retiring in 1980.

She was a member of the Eureka Presbyterian Church, Wabco Retirees Club where she served as the secretary for many years.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka. Pastor Nollan Harwood will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka. Burial will be in Olio Township Cemetery in Eureka.

Memorials may be made to the Eureka Presbyterian Church and Maple Lawn Health Center. Online condolences may be sent to her family at www.argoruestmanharris.com.
