Gloria R. Baldwin

Gloria R. Baldwin, 98, of Eureka passed away at 6:35 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023 at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka. Gloria was born on May 24, 1925 in Mason City, IL. She was raised by her grandparents and Aunt and Uncle Walter and Dorothy Hancock. She married Myron C. “Pat” Baldwin on June 28, 1947 in Pekin, IL. He passed away on November 14, 1976.

Gloria is survived by one daughter, Kelly (Jim) Noe of Eureka and one grandson, Quint Noe of Cincinnati, OH.

She was a secretary and later Assistant Vice President at the First Bank/Heartland Bank of Eureka for 30 years. She loved her job and the people she worked with. Prior to the bank, she worked at the Rock Island Arsenal and at Wahlfeld’s in Peoria.

Gloria enjoyed playing golf in her younger years, working crossword puzzles, and seeing the bright lights of Las Vegas. She enjoyed her later years at the Villas of Hollybrook in Washington, IL. The family would like to thank the staff at the Villas and the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka for the loving care of her.

She was a member of the Eureka Christian Church.

A private graveside service will be held at Olio Township Cemetery. Cremation has been accorded. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is handling arrangements for the family.
