Harold Peterson

Harold D. Peterson, 79, of Eureka passed away at 11:26 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on April 26, 1944 in Pocahontas, Arkansas a son of Murray and Opal Fultner Peterson. He married Linda D. Craig on September 4, 1971 in Marquette Heights, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Brian (Kristin) Peterson of Downs, IL; Jeff “Boone” Peterson of Eureka; one daughter, Shannon D. (Jim) Burgund of Washburn; two brothers; five sisters; eight grandchildren, Kendrick, Malik, Dayton, Jayden, Brooke, Zoe, Ava, Ike; five great grandchildren, Beatrice, Sam, Timmy, Ava, Winnie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Marty and Lonnie Peterson.

Harold worked at Caterpillar for 44 years.

Harold served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 11, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the Outpost in Eureka. Cremation will be accorded. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is handling arrangements for the family.
