Eureka-Helen F. Robenstein, 94, of Eureka passed away at 1:40 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka.
She was born on August 17, 1922 in Secor, IL a daughter of Martin and Edith Cox Heller. She married George M. Robenstein on August 8, 1940 in Cedar Towns, GA. He passed away on February 13, 2003.
Surviving are one son, Gary (Judy) Robenstein of Congerville, IL; one daughter, Donna Alspaugh-White of Eureka, IL; seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and six sisters.
Helen and her husband owned and operated the Eureka Locker Service for 30 years. She was a member of the Woodford County Home Extension. She enjoyed playing bridge, working in her garden, and loved her flowers. At the age of 90, she was recognized as the oldest active member at Curves.
Helen was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eureka where funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Rev. Joe Burns will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5-7 pm at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 9-9:45 am before the service at the church. Burial will be in Secor Cemetery.
