James E. Greiner

James E. Greiner, 83, of Washington passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2023  at his residence.

He was born on November 21, 1939 in Peoria, IL a son of George E. and Matilda Miller Greiner. He married Sharon Felker on February 22, 1969 in Danvers, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Michelle (Rick) Dolly of Sioux Falls, SD; Kristin (Tom) Lilienthal of Goodfield; two sons, Korey Greiner of Grand Prairie, TX; Kodey Greiner of Eureka; two brothers, Steve Greiner; Charles Greiner both of Morton; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Shirley Houghton; one brother, Gerald Greiner; one grandson, Matthew Dolly.

James worked for Orkin for 15 years after he retired he worked for Habitat for Humanity.

James enjoyed to garden and work in the yard. He also enjoyed doing puzzles in his spare time.

James was a member of Eureka Bible Church where memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023. Pastor Aaron Zehr will officiate. There will be no visitation. Private burial will be held at a later date. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is handling arrangements for the family.
