Dr. Jeanne Ann Davidson-Meyer, 73, of Eureka, passed away at 3:38 p.m., Saturday, October 15, 2022 at OSF St. Frances Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born December 10, 1948 in Washington, IL to Donald and Kathleen (Orth) Davidson. She married David Meyer on April 27, 1968 in Secor, IL. He survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Kathleen (Paula) Meyer of Madison, WI; one foster son, Oliver Sinh Ngo of Bloomington, IL; one sister, Donna (Tom) Purfield of Eureka, IL; one granddaughter, Alexis Meyer of Madison, WI; two nieces, Anne Purfield and Jacqueline Teegarden and two nephews, Ryan (Lorinda) Purfield and Shawn (Carrie) Meyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bill Davidson.
Jeanne graduated from ICC as a Registered Nurse in 1973. She worked many years as an RN before deciding to go back to school to study psychology. She worked very hard to receive her Doctorate degree from Adler University in Chicago in 2005. She then began to work for The Antioch Group in Peoria until she retired in 2015.
Dr. Jeanne was active in her church. She was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Eureka. She also had a passion for ceramic dolls. She would make ceramic dolls from scratch as well as make their clothes for them. She has quite a unique collection.
Cremation will be accorded. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, October, 20, 2022 at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka.
