Congerville - Kenneth Michael Miller, 90, of Congerville, IL, went to be with the Lord on Saturday December 19 at 9:30 PM at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born November 27, 1925 in Cissna Park, IL, a son of Michael and Lydia Waldbueser Miller. He married Helen McLaughlin on January 25, 1947 in Eureka, IL.
She survives. Also surviving are four sons, Larry (Donna) of St. Charles, MO, Gary (Beth) of Normal, IL, Bruce (Jami) of Congerville, IL, and Randy (Jean) of Eureka, IL; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn.
Kenneth retired at the age of 66 from Kellstedts Office Supply, Peoria, IL.
Kenneth was a member of Rock Creek Bible Church, formerly Congerville Mennonite Church, where he served as Sunday School Teacher and Treasurer. Kenneth served as a Congerville Town Board Trustee for 16 years.
Kenneth was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed putting puzzles together, gardening and spending time with his family. He was famous for his delicious homemade potato chips.
A funeral service will be held at Rock Creek Bible Church in Congerville, IL, at 10 AM
on December 22. Pastor Phil Bachman will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 - 7 PM on December 21 at Rock Creek Bible Church, and one hour before the funeral service. Burial will follow the service at Olio Township Cemetery. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is handling the arrangements.
