Larry VanEtten, 68, of Eureka, died at 1:35 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, IL.
He was born June 12, 1947 in Forest City, IL to V. Wayne and Verna K. (Williams) VanEtten. He married Cindey Stevenson on August 17, 2005 in Eureka, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons Chad (Jennifer) VanEtten of Eureka, Erik (Ashley) VanEtten of Colfax, IL; one brother David (Ursula) VanEtten of Denver, CO; one step-daughter Tonya (Jerrod) Davenport of Secor, IL; one step-son Tyler Wahls and fiancé Samantha Newell of Benson; and three grandsons Ian VanEtten, Connor Davenport and Morgan Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry worked as a Crop Production Specialist for 37 years at DMI before retiring. He enjoyed his hobbies but his true passion was his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family more than anything. He will forever be loved and deeply missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka. Rev. Debbie Reese will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded.
