Leroy Jording,

Secor-Leroy W. Jording, Sr., 86, of Secor passed away at his residence at 4:20 pm on May 23, 2017.

He was born on July 23, 1930 in rural Secor a son of Christ and Amalia Sprehe Jording. He married Wanda E. Cannon on June 20, 1959 in Secor. She passed away on August 19, 2001.

Surviving are his children, Riann Threlkeld of Tremont; Leroy W. (Karen) Jording, Jr. of rural Eureka; Stephen R. Harris of Phoenix, AZ; Roger D. Harris of Mattoon; Terry L. (Misty) Jording of Kappa; Kevin K. (Necha) Jording of Secor; Ioulanda L. Wass of Pekin; Tyler J. Jording of Secor; twenty grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, one sister, one grandson, and one great grandchild.

Leroy worked for Eureka Automotive for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Secor Sportsmen's Club and St. John's Lutheran Church in Secor.

Cremation rites will be accorded and graveside inurnment will be held at a later date at Secor Cemetery. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is handling arrangements for the family.
