Lorene I. Dingledine, 98, formerly of Eureka, died at 6:46 a.m. on January 21, 2020, at Good Samaritan Care Facility in Prescott, AZ.
She was born on February 14, 1921 in Washburn, IL, to Dewey and Ida Bachman Stringer. She married Howard Dingledine on July 25, 1941 in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2002.
Surviving her is one daughter, Mary (Joseph) Van Pelt; one brother, Ivis (Barbara) Stringer; two grandchildren, Traci (Tom) Doenitz of Marietta, GA, and Robbi (Tracy) Perry of Heflin, AL; and four great-grandchildren, James Perry, John Larkin Perry, Caroline Doenitz, and Catherine Doenitz. Preceding her in death is one daughter, Nancy (Lonnie) Burch; two sisters, Iris Page of Eureka and Jewel Springer of Metamora; and one great-grandchild, Truman Perry of Heflin, AL.
Lorene shared the responsibilities of farming with her husband, Howard, and worked side by side with him. They were married for 61 years before his death. She was a member of the Roanoke Mennonite Church and a volunteer at the Eureka Et Cetera Shop.
A private funeral service will be held at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Inurnment will be at Olio Township Cemetery. Online tributes and condolences may be made at argoruestmanharris.com
Lorene was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She will be dearly missed.
