Lowell V. Lenschow, 79, of Dunlap, formerly of Eureka, IL passed away at 6:50 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on April 5, 1944, in Elgin, IL a son of August and Emma Bartels Lenschow. He married Jane Seremeta on September 3, 1966, in Palo Alto, CA. She survives.
Survivors also include four daughters, Debbie Lenschow (Sandeep Tripathy) of St. Louis, MO; Rhonda (Chris) Bessert of Peoria, IL; Kim (Josh) Haza of Seattle, WA; Sarah (Aaron) Jenniges of Vancouver, WA; two brothers, Glenn (Lorraine) Lenschow; Willard (Marge) Lenschow both of Burlington, IL; seven grandchildren, Sage, Rohan, Parker, Jack, Shaan, Remy, Julia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Lowell was a farmer in Kane County for many years. He worked at the Illinois Farm Bureau Headquarters in Bloomington for 22 years.
He deeply loved his family, grandkids and watching them play sports of every kind, cheering for his Chicago Cubs, growing an amazing garden full of sweet corn and maintaining the most lush, green lawn in the state of Illinois.
Lowell was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eureka where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. October 21, 2023. Rev. Joe Burns will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at the church and also from 10-11 a.m. before the services on Saturday at the church. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Olio Township Cemetery in Eureka. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is handling arrangements for the family.
