Mary Juraco, 99, of Metamora, IL formerly of Chicago, IL passed away at 7:50a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Snyder Village in Metamora.
Mary was born on October 18, 1918 in Dunfermline (Fulton County) Illinois to Frank and Karoline Persich Juraco.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings who died at birth, three brothers, Jack Juraco, Mathew Juraco and Joseph Juraco; three sisters, Katharine(Vincentica Jur) Galligan, Rose(Juraco) Nilsen, Helen(Juraco) Radosevich and several nieces and nephews.I n 1934, she moved from Fulton County to Chicago and began a career in the specialty paper and printing business. She was an administrative assistant and shift manager at Chicago Printed String for over a decade before accepting a position as production manager at Rockwell Barnes. She was the founding member of a senior's social club at Merrimac Park in Chicago and was instrumental in forming a senior's swimming fitness club.
To accommodate friends and family, arrangements have been made in both Central Illinois and Chicago land.
In Central Illinois, on Saturday June 16 a visitation will precede a funeral mass at St. Luke's Catholic Church 904 Reagan Dr, Eureka, IL 61530. The visitation will last from 9:00-11:00 followed immediately by the funeral mass. Two of her nephews, Milton Radosevich and Fr. Eugene Radosevich will officiate the proceedings. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral home will assist with arrangements.
In Chicago, on Monday June 18 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery 1400 S. Wolf Rd, Hillside, Illinois a second visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. followed by a eulogy (reprise) grave side prays and interment.
