Ralph Barnes
Eureka - Ralph W. Barnes, 77, of Eureka formerly of Goodfield passed from this life into the presence of his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 5:15p.m. at his residence
surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 23, 1937 in Farmington, IL to Russell and Louise Lockwood Barnes. He married Rozanna McGinnis on November 15, 1958 at New Castle Bible Church in Deer Creek. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Tim (Lizz) Barnes of Peoria; Gary (Cathy) Barnes of El Paso; John (Becky) Barnes of Gridley; Becky (Dan) Fowler of Morton; Craig "Randy" (Beth) Barnes of Eureka; 20 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one sister, Lucille Henderson of McAlpin, FL and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Phyllis DeLong.
Ralph and his two sisters were taken into the home of their great uncle and aunt, Frank and Alta Benner, who loved and raised them as their own and who introduced them to Jesus Christ.
Ralph graduated from Farmington High School in 1956 and retired from Keystone Steel and Wire in 1988 after 40 years of service.
He was a charter member of Liberty Bible Church in Eureka where he faithfully served for many years as a Sunday school teacher, an elder, and chairman of the Mission's Committee.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Liberty Bible Church in Eureka. Pastor Tom Zobrist will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 22, 2015 from 3-7 p.m. at the church and also on Friday from 9-9:45a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is handling arrangements for the family.
