Eureka-Timmothy D. Meeks, 43, of Eureka, passed away at 4:10 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2019 at his residence.
He was born January 14, 1976 in Peoria to David and LuAnn (Lindstom) Meeks.
Surviving are his father David Meeks of Eureka; his mother LuAnn Kennedy of Eureka; three sisters, Rachel Meeks of Berea, KY, Sharon Meeks of Eureka, Anna Pretty of Daytona, FL; one brother, Dustin Burwell of Morton; paternal grandmother, Harriet Meeks of Eureka; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandfather; one nephew and one niece.
Tim served in the U.S. Army.
Tim was a cook and a chef in the area for many years currently working as a cook at the Cornerstone Restaurant in Eureka.
He was a wonderful cook and enjoyed making people happy, smile and laugh. He had a comical personality that was enjoyed by so many. Tim was also an avid Bears fan.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 7 p.m., at Liberty Bible Church in Eureka. Cremation will be accorded. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
